She Wore an Itsy Bitsy Teen Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini
Today was a very pretty day and Sasha was psyched about trying out his new pool. I dressed both the kids in their suits and headed outside to 'squito fest 2008. I have two suits for Mia but opted for the bikini. She should
totally wear bikinis for as long as she can, right?
I wasn't sure how excited Mia was going to be considering her hatred of water. I stood her up next to the pool while Sasha proceeded to dive head first over the edge. He is such a high adventure boy! Sasha couldn't help himself, he had to try to get all the water outside his pool. He splashed and splashed and splashed while Mia looked completely irritated. I asked him to stop s
o that I could put Mia in the couple inches of water. She had barely sat down when Sasha started his splashing again. Mia was not pleased.
I took her out of the water and set her atop the Little Tykes playset. She still wasn't happy.
Sasha took turns belly flopping into the pool and sliding down the slide around and around as fast as he could go. We decided that perhaps she would have fun sliding down the slide. We were wrong. She looked offended that we would think that she would like such a thing.
Ah ... it's going to be an interesting summer with my two little extremes.

First of all -- I LOVE it. So cute. And then I laughed my head off thinking, "what would the babushkas think of a BATHING SUIT?" LOL
Can you tell it's a slow work week?
Yes, I agree w/ Amy, what would the babushkas think of a bikini? That child will surely freeze to death in that 90 degree weather! LOL! They are both adorable! I would think that the pool would help her (eventually) get used to the water.
Welcome Home and Happy 4th!!!
