Around the Apartment

Thought I'd post a couple photos of Mia around the apartment. We were really encouraged during dinner when she learned the sign for 'more' very quickly. Guess that's a pretty important sign to get down when you're a native Russian speaker and your parents only know English. She didn't eat much which is completely different than my experience with Sasha who walked ate a ton then insisted on walking around with 'security bread' afterwards. She seemed to enjoy the fruit and the baby yogurt drink.

Bedtime was a challenge. First, she looked very cute in her little Pooh PJs. Unfortunately, she had a hard time going to sleep. There is so much to take in and she's left the only home she's ever known. She was fine as long as stayed in the room with our hand on her but the minute we'd back away, she'd cry again. Eventually she rolled over and started drifting off to good baby dreams hopefully of playing in the yard with her big brother, getting face lickins' from Blake and learning how to eat ice cream. Ah ... she doesn't have any idea how fabulous her life will be once she gets to her new home.

I'm a little initimidated about taking her out. I'm sure it will just take me once to get over my fear. I've read too many stories of angry babushkas yelling at you in the streets for not taking good care of your child. Hopefully between her coat, her long pants and her hat, we'll be good to go. I'm so glad that we brought the stroller.
