No Fingerprint Clearance for Tamara Yet

We just received a call from our Cradle Russia contact and, while Nathan's prints have arrived, mine have still not been received in Moscow. I thought she indicated (we have learned that many times things aren't properly translated between our two languages) that the FBI had run my fingerprints but that they hadn't been cabled to Moscow yet. She said that the Embassy thought that they would arrive by tomorrow morning our time. Oleg will call the Embassy at 9 a.m. tomorrow to check on the status. We're changing our tickets to Thursday. We're praying that we can get seats as one leg was booked last week when we checked. We've talked about trying to get to Poland at least even if we have to camp out in the Business Lounge for a day or two. That's a cheery thought.

And, as if this wasn't depressing enough, we are now faced with trying to find another day's lunch on the limited room service menu. We're SO tired of eating the same old food here. We find one thing that's good and the next day it doesn't resemble the dish that we had a day earlier. Consistency doesn't seem to be their hallmark here. And, nothing comes out the way you expect. I ordered a grilled ham and swiss cheese sandwich a couple of days ago and got a ham and cheese sandwich on lightly toasted bread. Plain. No melted cheese. Not warm. Yuck. They do a good job with fries though.

Thanks for all that have helped expedite things thus far. If anyone knows a way to get in touch with the FBI part of this process to insure that my prints make it to the U.S. Embassy by tomorrow morning our time, we would be forever in your debt.
