Misc. Sasha Photos
We asked for one of the caregivers to write a letter to Sasha wishing him well. Gennady suggested that a video letter might be nice so this is Tatiana saying good bye to Sasha.
We introduced a stacking toy to Sasha which he really liked. Mom declared what a smart baby he is when he immediately knew how to re-stack the
objects.
On one of the cold days we stayed and played in the medical ward. This is Sasha in his little Irish outfit. He really enjoys giving me something to which I say 'spaceba (thank you)', he'll giggle and then I'll say, "Pojost (please ... which is what they say when you offer something to someone)', he'll giggle again and take it back.

We found a little blue car that Sasha could sit on and ride. Oh, how he enjoyed being pushed back and forth. Another future purchase I'm sure.

Here's Sasha with his caterpillar that plays music. He loves it so. I'll turn it on and he'll see it and embrace it. Then, I'll bring it back and give him a 'smoochie' with it. He finds this very amusing.
Sasha loves books. I'm not sure he cares much for the contents but he loves opening and closing them. This is him with a book we created to show the judge how many people love Sasha and what his house looks like.
Now I know you'll think that I'm making this up but Sasha loves plants. We have to remind him to 'be gentle' but he's fascinated by them. He should have a lot to do when we get back to Illinois.
As caregivers would walk the grounds with the chlldren they were caring for,
some would stop and say hi to Sasha. This is one of his favorite caregivers. She would throw him into the air while he laughed. Then, she would chase him and beat him to the end and toss him in the air again. (Obviously, she has much stronger arm muscles than any of us. )
He still enjoys bubbles but chose to try to do it himself rather than enjoying Mom's bubbles. He's changed so much since our last trip. He's a busy, busy man.
Perhaps that thing that warmed our hearts the most was to open our arms wide
and have him run, giggling into them to give you a hug. Too cute.

Nathan found a swing which at first was a bit intimidating but Sasha quickly grew to love it. And, of course, there is certainly a love affair going with cheddar cheese gold fish.
Grandmother Toni, aka Babushka which they tell us is 'Baba' for short, had lots of time to get to know her grandson. She is thoroughly convinced that he is the smartest, sweetest, cutest little boy ever.

He has gone from a little boy who never moves not even crawls to a man on the move. He's going to give us all a run for our money when we get home. I get tired just thinking about it :)
