Tag - I'm It!

My good friend, Angie tagged me on her blog - To Russia for Our Daughter! Here is a link to her blog: http://tofindadaughter.blogspot.com/

The rules are to divulge six random things about myself and then tag 6 others!! Okay, I feel like there's little left to share with over two years of true confessions on my blog but here goes ...

1) While out at a driving range with a friend, we went into the office to pay for our balls. I bumped into someone, apologized and offered him a beer from our cooler. He smiled and said "no thank you". As we went outside and we saw the guy again, my friend started laughing and said, "do you know who that guy was that you bumped into and offered a beer?" "No". It was Kurt Russell. Well ... at least Kurt left knowing that folks from Texas are hospitable!
2) I have had the good fortune to travel through out much of the world including Spain, Italy, Jamaica, Singapore, Ireland, Malaysia, Indonesia (in the middle of a war on the island of Sumatra), Mexico, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Canada and Nigeria. I've learned so much from these travels including that people are really more alike than they are different and that humor abounds globally.
3) My good friend, Bryan (aka the Godfather) and I met during sixth grade while we were in the gifted program. We both think that sixth grade was the best and we are each other's longest maintained friends.
4) The kids and I are making plans to spend the month of November in Texas and I just got through booking hotels for Nathan and I in San Antonio (B&B) and Fredricksburg (B&B) and a house for all of us including my folks to spend Thanksgiving that's located at an Exotic Animal Ranch. It's going to be awesome!
5) I recently started working on the FlyLady system and LOVE it! No more CHAOS and clutter! Baby steps!
6) I took seven years of French between high school and college and lived in Bordeaux for an assignment. I don't consider myself fluent but have had French cab drivers embrace me from their seat proclaiming that I was the first English speaker that had ever attempted to speak with them. Just proves that your language skills don't have to be perfect, people just appreciate you trying.

Whew! I did it!If I tag you, here are the rules!!!

1. Link to the person that tagged you.
2.Post the rules on the blog.
3. Write six random facts about yourself.
4.Tag six people at the end of your post.
5. Let each person know they have been tagged.
6. Let the taggers know when your entry is up.I am tagging:

1) Holly (Russian Sweet Baby)--aka Dpatt Seuss, she's a hoot and with the same agency
2) Jules (Jack's Sister Clare)--fellow agency alumni who has her beautiful daughter home
3) Michelle (Ariana's Story)--I met Michelle and her husband on our pick up trip in Russia, she has her gorgeous little girl home now and recently celebrated Ariana's second birthday
4) Dinia & Ron (The Emptynest Years) -- Awesome couple that helped so many adoptive families while on assignment in Russia. They are now exploring an opportunity in Africa.
5) Shelle (The Prendergast Family)--Fellow agency alumni who is home with their darling son
6) Kym (Mama Loves her ABCs)--Had the chance to hang out with Kym and her husband in Moscow. They now have their beautiful daughter Kaydee home and she is thriving.

Have a great week everyone!
