Back to School
Yesterday was Sasha's first day of Early Childhood for the year. He was very excited to begin school again. And, our hope is that this will help him transition better to his new one of two children status. We spent last week purchasing all the needed school supplies and picking out this year's back pack which is a very cool, green Diego back pack.
Unfortunately, after school, Sasha spent time outside with Daddy and managed to find a rock and draw, "Spidey webs" on Mama's car. I was inside when this occured so you imagine my surprise when I saw the big circular patterns on both driver side doors. UGH! We spoke with Sasha this morning and he admitted that he had taken a rock and created his masterpiece ... a permanent masterpiece. We calmly discussed how he was never to touch a car again until he was 15 and had his learner's permit and that his upstairs toys were all going to be taken away with the exception of his duplo table and four matchbook cars. He has WAY too much stuff at this point so reducing the amount of toys in the playroom will be a good thing.

Sasha has a new teacher this year, Ms. Sooley, who seems SO nice. Her assistant Ms. Laura also seems great. All in all, he had a great first day and reported that he liked playing with the cars most of all. Sadly, Ms. Janice will not be our bus driver this year. Both Sasha and I were very disappointed by this since we LOVE Ms. Janice.

As you can see, Sasha currently has two other classmates and both are boys. He's had a great first week and we're busy collecting various photos for him to take to school for his "All About Me" projects. The photos he selected include: drinking out of our fountain with Blake, swimming lessons, roller blading, school, licking the cup cake beaters, GeoTrax, giving Mia a smoochie, a photo of him with Mia on the stairs, a picture of him canoeing with Daddy, 'Superman', head locking Mia, climbing on a tree, one of the first photos we have of Mia and a photo of all of us. Hope the paper is BIG! Should be cute!
