Happy 4th of July!
The 4th of July is a very special day to our family. It is the day that a judge in Kaluga, Russia told us that we could be Sasha's parents. We think this is an extra special day because we all have SO much to be thankful for.
On this day of patriotism, fireworks, hot dogs and flags, we celebrate our children who were not born into our country but are now United States citizens. We celebrate our son, Alexander John Thomas, who started off a sullen, serious little boy who can now light up a room with his enthusiasm and happiness. We celebrate our new daughter, Amelia TJ (TJ for her grandmothers Toni and Janet), who is one of the newest citizens of our great country who can charm the masses with her beauty, dimples and outgoing personality.
Happy Fourth of July little ones. You may not completely understand how important today is but with tears in my eyes, I do.
