Snickers Platt - Our Faithful Friend, Rest in Peace

It is with great sadness that I post that Snickers Platt passed away earlier today. She was staying with Mom and Dad and will be buried in Cat Spring next to her brother, Casey Christensen.

Snickers spent the first couple of years of her life as the friend of John Platt, Jr. When her brother, Casey, passed away too early in his life, she came to live with Tamara and Nathan Christensen, her pets until the end of her life on December 15th, 2007.

Snickers was a protectress and often would scare visitors into leaving before they would enter the house. Although a 'tiny' boxer, she could often be seen protecting her favorite pet, Tamara, by trying to nip the seat of a passerby in warning. Snickers loved 'the bed of red' where she could be found taking a deep, boxer nap until she was rudely awoken from her slumber. Snickers loved being with her pets and appreciated their loving devotion and the weekly ground beef dinners. She was a pretty girl who loved to snuggle on the couch and she will be missed by all that knew her.

Snickers will join her brother, Casey, and her grandma, Jan, where she will most certainly find a place in her lap where she can get cuddles and pets for the rest of eternity.

We will miss you sweet girl. Our backyard opossums will rest easier now.
