A Play Date with Katy

On Friday, we had the pleasure of hosting a lunch for our dear friend, Jan, and her daughter Katy. Katy was adopted from Moscow and came home in November. We've been keeping up with Katy on Jan's blog but had never had the chance to meet her in person.

Let's just say this ... she's an absolute DOLL. She has beautiful olive skin, big brown eyes and a beautiful smile. Sasha wasn't all the interested in her (except when she sat on his car or tried to take Pablo - he's two after all) but I think as he gets older, all that will change. Katy is very bright and knew SO many words (she's 18 months). Wow .. impressive.

Getting two children around the age of two to sit and have their photo taken is more challenging that it might seem. When we encouraged Sasha to give Katy a hug, he started making a break for it. Ah, how things will change for him in the future.
