The Cone Mystery is Solved

So ... after wondering where our son has learned about ice cream cones, an email just arrived that solves this debate. Apparently, Waltraud, our good family friend, had an ice cream cone at the Chinese restaurant and obviously made it look way yummy thus causing Sasha to believe that this was for him. Anything with ice cream has got to be good, right?

We had our fourth swimming lesson yesterday. Apparently Donnie, our instructor, had tried to call to tell us that the water was 4 degrees cooler than normal. Sasha, who was already suited up and dancing at seeing Donnie, and wouldn't hear of not going in. So .. Donnie took him in, teeth chattering - Donnie's teeth that is, and Sasha laughed and splashed as usual. At some point, Donnie pulled him out and said that his nails were starting to turn purple from being too cold so we'd have to stop. Sasha would NEVER have gotten out of the pool. He LOVES to swim and Donnie is at the same levels as princes or rock stars in his book.

So .. we'll take the lesson over on Sunday when the pool should be warm again. We really lucked out to find such a great instructor. The minute we left the building, Sasha was talking about "go swimmin'". The boy loves water.
