Brookfield Zoo with Katy and Jan

We had a chance to finally catch up with Jan and Katy. As you might remember, Jan and Scott brought Katy home about four months after Sasha came home. After months of trying to find a date that would work, we lucked out on a glorious day to meet up.

Sasha's favorites this time were the baboons on baboon island and the elephants. At one point all the baboons headed to the other side of the island out of sight so we chatted about how they were probably all going to lunch. He still talks about how those crazy baboons were at lunch. He's so fun. This is a photo of him and Katy playing in a play area at one of the children areas on the zoo. He also got to pet a bunny and a guinea pig and get his face painted like a zebra.

Miss Katy is doing really well and Jan has her enrolled in a variety of classes (swimming, a library class, etc.) which renews my belief that Jan is an amazing woman and the best mother. She's SO patient!

Sasha introduced Katy to Dippin' Dots which she and Jan seemed to enjoy. Sasha remains a huge fan and, after finishing his Cookies n' Cream Dippin' Dots, he proceeded to eat Mama's Banana Split Dippin' Dots.

We had a great day at the zoo, and upon departing Sasha gave Katy a little smoochie. Too cute.
